My New Baby - Macaron

Today I baked these cute little macarons again when the 2 little princesses were sleeping in the afternoon. I cant remember exactly how many failed attempt I had in the past weeks, 7 or 8?? But this is the first time I tried again after attending a class organised by famous Aunty Yochana. She is really helpful and generous in sharing all the tips and skills, and that made my first sucessful batch of macaron!!! Thank you so much Aunty Yochana!!

When Kor Xuan woke from the afternoon nap, she was so happy to see me piping the filing and sandwich the macaron, she immediately ask for one and cant stop eating after that.... if not that I stop her and threaten her taht she might fall sick, think she can finish half a tray.... should have snapped a picture of her eating the macarons..... Well, to make her happier and more excited, think I shall try our favourite "CHOCOLATE MACARON"!!! That will be mummy next project!!

It started to rise and the little feet appeared!! can you imagine how excited when I see the little feet? Nevertheless, there were some slightly cracked macaron, think is due to the oven temperature too high, will try with lower temperature next time...

So... do wait and look forward to our beloved chocolate macaron!!

It's Xmas Eve

Instead of buying a log cake for our christmas eve, I decided to make this Santa Clause cake, copying the idea from one of the blog that I frequent. Isn't it cute? Little Kor Xuan help me with the decoration, she placed and arranged all the strawberries on Santa Clause hat and the curled white chocolate for the beard.... and of course as usual she wont forget to gobble up some of the chocolate in her mouth during the process...... See a video of the Xmas Song from the little princess.... i didnt teach them this, think thay learn from Ah Hong Ah Yi last Christmas....

And of course the next program after singing the Xmas song and having the cake will be unwrapping the presents ..(haha, the chrismas eve celebration turn out to be more like their combined birthday celebration).....

They were so excited to unwrap the present... (haha... again good acting... they actually chose the present themselves in the morning at Robinson, Kor Xuan even helped me with the wrapping just few hours ago...hahaha....)

My Little Playground

Kor Xuan has spotted some craft book taht we bought from Taiwan in the cupboard, so she requested atht we do something after lunch... Well, if not for her, I would have forgotten about the book already.... We chosen a page to do, I asked them to tear out the colour paper following the cutting line from the book and I helped them with the folding and assembling....And, this is the end result... the playground!!! Kor Xuan was very creative to put the clay octopus that we made last staurday with siao mei ah yi on the horse!! Think the octupus sure enjoy her ride!!

Kor Xuan and Kor Yu were so happy to receive these delicious cookies from Aunty Yochana, thank you very much! Kor Yu actually cant wait to unwrap the cookies (that's why I din manage to atke a photo of it in the wrapping) and sitting quietly at the table to eat her cookies when we reach home... And it was so delicious that she refuse to let me have a bite (thta was not usual her, she was actually quite generous to share in normal time...), so I can imagine the cookies must be really nice!!

As for Kor Xuan, she was more patient, she wanted to show her daddy first when he come home in the evening... so she cant bear to eat it.... hopefully I can steal a bite when she eat it!!

My Best Friend's Birthday Party

This is the first Mc Donald Birthday Party that Kor Xuan and Kor Yu attended. They enjoyed the whole afternoon, there were games, their favourite Mc Donald nugget, yummy ice cream cake, balloons, playground even goodies bag and candy to bring home... thank you Shannon for a wonderful afternoon!!

A Ride on LRT

We have no car today, papa has driven it to work... so we had our LRT ride to the market!! It was actually Kor Xuan's long waited adventure... she has been asking me to bring her to go shopping via LRT/MRT, but I was always reluctant to... you know dragging 2 little princesses (or monsters??) up and down the stations, in and out the train cabin could be quite an exhausted task.... Well, anyway, they were behaving quite well today... !!

We have not visited playground for quite a long time... This morning Kor Xuan has learnt to swing higher by herself (well done!!!)

Fishy Craft Adventure

Kor Xuan attended the "Fishy Craft Adventure", the holiday program oeganised by her Kindergarten... and here's what she brought back today:

Sexy Clay Mermaid?? (This one I actually dont know where to display or keep... we are so short of cupboards in our house... Kor Xuan once comentted that we should buy a bigger house, she has run out of place to keep her things... maybe she was right...haha...)

Hurray!! It's School Holiday!!

Its last day of the School, heres the mini donuts that mummy made for Kor Xuan Kindergarten year end party!! Looks yummy rite, and it is yummy!!

But before enjoying all the foods, there were a stage performance, the class Joy A was proudly presenting the "Chicken Dance", dadan:

Kor Xuan's First Stage Performance

This is the year end performance from Kor Xuan's Speech and Drama Class. It was just a short singing and dance but if you were at the spot, you will be able to share the joy of the children as well as the parents better as that was their first stage play after a year of class..... Its not very organised, you will see that some shildren forgot their steps, te lyrics, or bowing too late.... but you can truly sense that the children are enjoying themselves!!

I'm the Bean Grower

We painted some plastic container (dessert cup from the Pattisier) and laid the bottom with wet cotton wool. Each of us chose 3 soya bean and put it in the container. This is the photo taken on the 2nd morning, some small roots have sprouted.

On the 3rd day, longer root, the bean turn green (heard that the bean turn green because of the sunlight that it has absorbed, if left covered and keep out of light, it will remain yellow) and struggled out of the skin.

On the 4th day, the bean grow taller, look much more like the bean sprout that we saw in market.

On the 5th day, the bean grow taller than the container, looks like its ready to go into the pan! Its amazing than it can grow double the height in a day time.
